Every organization has "overhead" expenses, and the Miamisburg Bands Program is no exception. The cost of doing business is something that everyone takes for granted, and the intent of the Band Booster Organization is to keep infrastructure expenses "transparent" to the band community. Without a commitment to general fundraising practices, the cost of:  equipment, uniforms and recurring maintenance would have to be absorbed by each and every band member - resulting in a staggering increase in the cost of participation.

Fundraising

Fundraising is definitely the key component in band booster survival, but the heart, soul and backbone of this organization is the volunteers that eliminate or minimize costs.  Without everyone that contributes a little sweat equity, the show would never get on the road.  More importantly, volunteers significantly reduce cost of completion of the many events encountered throughout the school year.  Involvement saves money and equates to lower band fees and operating costs.

 

The Miamisburg Band Boosters provide volunteers to orchestrate, administer and manage formal student fundraising opportunities.  To ensure that everyone that wants to participate in the Miamisburg Bands Program can be involved regardless of financial status, an active role is taken to provide participants with fundraising programs to pay down their fees.  Student fundraising activities are conducted throughout the year for the convenience of those that want to capitalize on ways to defray the cost of involvement.
